Declaration of accessibility

G. Wurm GmbH + Co KG endeavours to make its website wurm.com as accessible as possible.

This declaration on accessibility applies to our B2B online shop at www.wurm.com.

Scope of application

Our offer is aimed exclusively at commercial customers (business-to-business). Therefore, our online shop does not fall under the direct application of the
EU Directive 2016/2102,
the German Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG),
and the EN 301 549 standard, which contains the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.

Nevertheless, digital accessibility is important to us. We are constantly working to make our content more accessible for all users - including people with disabilities.

Content that is currently not accessible

Some areas of our website are not yet fully accessible. This applies in particular to

  • Images without alternative texts:
    Some images on the site do not have "alt text". This makes it difficult for users with visual impairments to understand what is shown on the image.

  • Unclear labelling:
    In some cases, visible texts (e.g. on buttons or links) do not match the underlying technical designations. This can lead to problems when using voice input software.

  • Links without speaking text:
    There are links without clear link text. The purpose of such links is not apparent to screen reader users.

  • Unnamed buttons:
    Some buttons do not have a clearly recognisable name or purpose, which makes them difficult to use with assistive technology.

  • Form fields without labelling:
    Individual forms lack clear labels. This makes it unclear which input is expected.

  • Small touch targets:
    Certain clickable elements - especially on mobile devices - are too small and therefore difficult to use.

  • Insufficient alt texts:
    Some existing alt texts are too short or not meaningful enough to describe the image content in an understandable way.

  • Non-accessible PDF files:
    Some of our PDF documents are not fully usable with screen readers or other assistive technologies.

  • Limited keyboard navigation:
    Our flyout navigation cannot currently be fully operated using the keyboard. Some menu items are not accessible with the tab key.
